Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. The successful candidate will possess some experience working in a wet lab, and be able to work with an interdisciplinary team in a dynamic and high-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance of the laboratory including facility, labware, equipment and others.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) when conducting work.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and provide input to corrective action procedures
• Monitor the laboratory to improve efficiencies and reduce costs in a continuous and ongoing fashion
• Keeps work area clean, neat and organized
• Assist in the preparation of stock solutions for Manufacturing, Quality Control and the Research teams
• Assist in the unpacking, inventorying and storing of new purchases
• Monitor and restock laboratory consumables/chemicals
• Assist in procurement processes.
• Work under minimal supervision, receiving specific instructions only on unusual problems or on matters which depart significantly from established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous laboratory safety training required.
• Experience working with chemicals or in a laboratory setting (ex. school) is an asset, but not required.
• Highly adaptable and responsive to new priorities.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Focused team-oriented player, with a strong work ethic is required.
• Enthusiasm to tackle difficult problems, learn new technologies, and work in an exciting, high paced environment is a must.
